I replace my ring with this video camera doorbell because I was frustrated with the false alerts every time a truck passed by on the street. Chris in support showed me how to make the doorbell only pay attention to certain movements and not others. I was still getting too many false alerts and when I called back I got a Lucas on the phone who told me to lower the sensitivity to motion. I still get one or two false motion alerts every two weeks but nowhere near the amount I got from the ring doorbell. What really does it for me is the fact that I was able to call tech support and they were patient enough with me until it worked to my satisfaction. Onnab, We have recently improved the WiFi setup.

If you’ve ever read any of my camera reviews, you know that I hold all my cameras up to the Security Baron Necessary Features Test, which makes sure that they’re up to my high standards in terms of video, audio, night vision, storage, smart platform integrations, artificial intelligence, convenience, and value. After many months of reviewing different cameras from top brands like Arlo and Canary, I’m ready to show you the best security cameras of 2019. I love the Nest Cam Indoor— obviously, or I wouldn’t have named it my best camera!Video wise, the Nest Cam impresses with 1080p HD display, a wide 130 degree field of view and the ability to zoom in eight times. The night vision is similarly clear with eight infrared LED sensors, and the camera comes equipped with two way audio. Not only does two way audio let you speak to whoever you’re recording, which can be an easy way to talk to family members from afar, but it’s also a great way to scare away intruders as a last ditch effort. You’d be scared too if a disembodied voice came screaming out at you to get out of their house! On a more negative note, the camera’s night vision wasn’t quite as clear as I’d like it to be.

Of all the smoke alarms we reviewed, this Kidde model fared the worst in our detection tests. Smoke must be very dense and concentrated for the alarm to sound. This underscores the need for multiple smoke detectors in several places in your home.
